UW Students Receive UniWyo Study Abroad Scholarships

Three University of Wyoming students have been awarded UniWyo Federal Credit Union Study Abroad Scholarships to study overseas.

They are among more than 160 UW students who received scholarship support to study abroad this summer, during the 2013 fall semester or within the 2013-14 academic year, according to UW International Exchange/Study Abroad Coordinator Ruth Shepherd.

Students who accepted the UniWyo Federal Credit Union scholarships are:

Des Plaines, Ill. -- Veronica Warda, $3,000.  Warda is a geology major who will study in Reykjavik, Iceland, during the 2013-14 academic year.

Laramie -- Taylor Legg, $2,000. Legg is a computer science major who will study in Singapore during the fall semester.

Powell -- Christopher Padilla, $3,000.  Padilla is a German and secondary education double major who will study in Oldenburg, Germany, during the summer and 2013-14 academic year.
