Steam Shutdown Starts Friday at UW

The University of Wyoming Physical Plant will shut down the campus steam system beginning at 4:30 p.m. Friday, July 19, through 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19. Buildings connected to the steam system will not have building heat or domestic hot water.

The residence halls and cafeterias will have steam via a temporary boiler during the shutdown.

The steam distribution system runs through the core campus and supplies buildings within the following areas: South of Lewis and Willett, north of Ivinson and Grand, east of Ninth Street, and west of 22nd Street, plus the Physical Plant and Anthropology buildings; and between Willett Drive and Harney Street from 19th Street to the west side of 22nd Street.
