Volunteers Needed to Collect Recycling Materials During Laramie Jubilee Days

July 8, 2013

The call is out to the University of Wyoming community to help collect recycling materials during Laramie Jubilee Days that concludes Sunday, July 14.

“Laramie Jubilee Days officials have asked the UW Sustainability Committee if we would be able to provide some volunteers to collect the recycling from the various bins around the fairgrounds for the duration of the festivities,” says Michael Ziemann, LEED engineer for University Facilities Planning.

Recyclable materials collected from the various bins at the Albany County Fairgrounds will be taken to one central location on site. Ziemann says UW’s “recycle-cycle” will be available for use during the duration of Laramie Jubilee Days.

Bins should be collected once a day before 5 p.m. through Sunday, July 14. No pickup is needed Tuesday, July 9, because no events are scheduled at the fairgrounds the day before.

For more information or to volunteer, contact Ziemann at (307) 760-1206 or email ziemann@uwyo.edu.
