The University of Wyoming Physical Plant and Rocky Mountain Power have scheduled a power outage today, Monday, Aug. 12, at 4:45 p.m. to re-route the west campus electrical service. The outage will last approximately 1.5-2 hours.
Buildings between 15th and Ninth streets and between Ivinson and Lewis streets will be without power during the outage. The Service Building, Anthropology and General Storage buildings are included in these outages. It is recommended to turn off all electronic equipment prior to the outage.
A second outage is set for Friday, Aug. 16, at 4:45 p.m., also scheduled for approximately 1.5-2 hours. Some campus services will shut down during the outages. The University Store in the Wyoming Union will close at 4 p.m. both days; the Wyoming Union will close at 5 p.m. Additionally, the UniWyo Federal Credit Union campus branch in McWhinnie Hall will close at 4:30 p.m. both today and Friday.
