Monday, Aug. 26, 5 p.m. -- UW President Bob Sternberg will host a free welcome barbecue for all students, Fraternity Mall.
Wednesday, Aug. 28, 8 p.m. -- Comedian Nikki Glaser performs in the Wyoming Union Ballroom. Free.
Thursday, Aug. 29, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. -- Community vendors on Prexy’s Pasture.
Thursday, Aug. 29, 4 p.m. -- UW Laramie Research and Extension Center Greenhouse Complex open house, tours at 4 p.m., dinner at 5 p.m., in-depth presentations at 6 p.m., 30th and Harney streets. Free.
Friday, Aug. 30 -- Wyoming residents are asked to wear brown and gold during College Color Day to promote UW pride.
Friday, Aug. 30, 1:30 p.m. -- Cowgirl volleyball vs. Stetson and vs. Idaho at 7 p.m., UniWyo Sports Complex. Tickets cost $7 for adults and $5 for children 18 and under.
Friday, Aug. 30, 4 p.m. -- Cowgirl soccer vs. South Dakota, Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex. Tickets cost $7 for adults and $5 for children 18 and under.
Saturday, Aug. 31, 1:30 p.m. -- Cowgirl volleyball vs. Montana State and vs. Drake at 7 p.m., UniWyo Sports Complex. Tickets cost $7 for adults and $5 for children 18 and under.
The UW Geological Museum is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and is closed Sundays. Free.
A variety of exhibitions is on display at the UW Art Museum, located in the Centennial Complex at 2111 Willett Drive, open Mondays through Saturdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Free.
The UW Department of Botany’s Williams Conservatory is open to the public from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 10 a.m. -3 p.m. Fridays. Free.
