Tuesday, Sept. 10, 6:30-8:30 p.m. -- Visiting artist Edgar Smith will speak at the Visual Arts Building, Room 111. Free.

Wednesday, Sept. 11, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. -- Clubs and organizations fair on Prexy’s Pasture. Free.

Wednesday, Sept. 11, 5 p.m. -- 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at War Memorial Stadium. Free.

Thursday, Sept. 12, 11 a.m. -- Ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Energy Innovation Center. Free.

Thursday, Sept. 12, 5 p.m. -- Reception for the exhibition “Shadows and Light: Community Mental Health through the Lens of the Consumer,” Gallery 234 in the Wyoming Union. Free.

Friday, Sept. 13, 4 p.m. -- Cowgirl soccer vs. Weber State at Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex. Tickets cost $7 for adults and $5 for children under 12.

Friday, Sept. 13, 6-8 p.m. -- UW’s Department of Art will host a reception for the new “Post-Rural” exhibition, Visual Arts Building gallery. Free.

Friday, Sept. 13, 6:30 p.m. -- “Iron Man 3” will be shown in the Wyoming Union Family Room. It also will be shown at 11:30 p.m. Free.

Friday, Sept. 13, 7 p.m. -- Navajo poet Sherwin Bitsui, an eminent writer-in-residence at UW this fall, will give a public reading and sign books in the Wyoming Union Senate Chambers. Free.

Friday, Sept. 13, 9 p.m. -- Hypnotist Chris Jones will perform in the Wyoming Union Ballroom. Free.

Saturday, Sept. 14, noon-1:30 p.m. -- The College of Agriculture and Natural Resources will host its annual Ag Day barbecue at Tailgate Park. Ticket prices vary.

Saturday, Sept. 14, 2 p.m. -- Cowboy football vs. Northern Colorado at War Memorial Stadium. Ticket prices vary.

Sunday, Sept. 15, 1 p.m. -- Cowgirl soccer vs. New Mexico State at Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex. Tickets cost $7 for adults and $5 for children under 12.

Sunday, Sept. 15, 3 p.m. -- UW’s Department of Music will open the fall Faculty Recital Series with Nicole Riner, flute;Chi-Chen Wu, piano; and Kaori Uno-Jack, bassoon, at the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall. Free.
