UW Board of Trustees to Meet Sept. 12

Goals for the 2013-14 academic year, an update on administrative searches and a meeting with Gov. Matt Mead are on the agenda for the University of Wyoming Board of Trustees Thursday and Friday, Sept. 12-13.

The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Room 506 of Coe Library. All meetings are open to the public except for executive sessions.

The business meeting, in which trustees take formal action on agenda items, is scheduled for 2:45 p.m. Friday, also in Room 506 of Coe Library. Public testimony will be accepted at 11 a.m. Friday.

The board is scheduled to meet with the governor at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, after which he and the trustees will participate in an 11 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony at UW’s new Energy Innovation Center.

At 2:15 p.m. Thursday, Athletics Director Tom Burman is scheduled to discuss UW’s intercollegiate athletics programs.

On Friday at 9:45 a.m., President Bob Sternberg is scheduled to update the board on administrative searches. A discussion about goals for the academic year is scheduled from 10 to 11 a.m.
