University of Wyoming composers will perform during the “Under Construction” concert Thursday, Nov. 21, at 1:10 p.m. in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts. The event is free and open to the public.
A reception will take place after the concert.
The concert will feature a UW composition class composed of music majors Amanda Cooper, Elizabeth Gilbert, Kristen Flock, Sarah Kim, Mike Richards, Aidan Ritchie and Tyler Treacy. They will perform original compositions.
The music majors have received a range of musical training in vocal performance, brass and woodwind, and piano performance. The works range from piano solos to a clarinet and sax duet, and the subject matter varies from the death of a famous television icon to the Holocaust.
