UW Hosts Film Event to Improve Food Inequality Awareness

The documentary film “A Place at the Table” will be shown at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, in the University of Wyoming Union Family Room.

As part of National Hunger and Homelessness Week, the documentary sheds light on issue of hunger in America by observing the lives of three people struggling with food insecurity.

An open panel discussion about the documentary and hunger issues that exist within the Laramie community follows the film.

In conjunction with the event, a food drive is planned as well. Nonperishable food items will be collected and can be dropped off at Washakie Dining Center, the Wyoming Union information desk or the Service, Leadership and Community Engagement (SLCE) office in the lower level of the Wyoming Union.
