The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees approved the following appointments during its meeting Friday, Jan. 17.
Administrative Appointments
Academic Affairs
Margaret Murdock as interim provost. She served as associate vice president for academic affairs and dean of the Outreach School from 2001 to spring 2013.
College of Education
Michael J. Day as interim dean. Day taught in the College of Education from 1982-2011.
College of Law
Jacquelyn L. Bridgeman as interim dean. She has taught in the College of Law since 2002.
Matthew J. Wilson as associate dean. Wilson has taught in the College of Law since 2009.
Faculty Appointments
College of Business
Robson Glasscock as instructor. Glasscock received a B.B.A. (2003) in accounting from Texas State University, an M.S. (2008) in accountancy from the University of Denver, and a Ph.D. (2013) in accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University. Glasscock has been a research assistant and lecturer at Virginia Commonwealth University since 2009.
College of Health Sciences
Tamara Cottam as clinical assistant professor with the Cheyenne Family Medicine Residency Program. Cottam received a B.S. (1989) in microbiology from UW, and an M.D. (1994) from Creighton University School of Medicine. She has been an emergency department physician at Platte County Memorial Hospital and medical director with the Palliative Care Department at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center since 2013.
Academic Professional Appointments
Academic Affairs
Erica C. Ramsey as assistant research scientist at the UW Art Museum. Ramsey received a B.A. (2009) in painting and drawing and women's studies from UW. She has been a special education paraprofessional at Spring Creek Elementary School.
College of Agriculture and Natural Resources
Scott E. Cotton as assistant extension educator. He received a B.S. (1991 and 1993) in agricultural journalism and range management, and an M.S. (1995) in rangeland ecology and watershed management from UW. Cotton has been an extension educator/unit leader at the University of Nebraska since 2005.
Chance Marshall as assistant extension educator. Marshall received a B.S. (2011) and an M.S. (2013) in animal and veterinary sciences from UW. He has been a graduate assistant at UW since 2012.
Changes in Appointments
Faculty
Kay A. Persichitte ends her appointment as dean of the College of Education and continues as a tenured professor in the Department of Teacher Education.
Stephen D. Easton ends his appointment as dean of the College of Law and continues as a tenured professor.
Reappointments
Administrators
Mark Northam as School of Energy Resources director. He holds a Ph.D. in organic geochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin.
