UW Trustees Revise Meeting Agenda

January 15, 2014

The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees has made a couple of changes to the agenda for its regular meeting Jan. 16-18.

Instead of starting the three-day session with an executive session at 8 a.m. Thursday, the board will begin in open session at 8 a.m. in Room 506 of Coe Library with a discussion about the UW presidency. The conversation is expected to include UW Faculty Senate Chair Colin Keeney, Staff Senate President Jim Logue, Associated Students of UW President Brett Kahler, and General Counsel Rick Miller. Any action on the issue would be taken during Friday’s regular business meeting.

The open discussion about the presidency will be followed by a 10 a.m. executive session to consider personnel matters.

A public comment period remains scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Thursday, and the remainder of Thursday’s agenda also is unchanged.

The only change to Friday’s schedule is the addition of another public comment period at 11 a.m.

The business meeting, in which trustees take formal action on agenda items, is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. Friday.

The updated agenda, along with a report that includes background information on agenda items, is available on the Web at https://www.uwyo.edu/trustees/2014-meeting-materials/.
