University of Wyoming Calendar for May 12

These are among activities scheduled May 12-18 at the University of Wyoming:

Tuesday, May 13, 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. -- More than 500 high school and middle school students from throughout the state will attend the annual Women in Science Conference at various campus locations.

Wednesday, May 14, and Thursday, May 15, noon -- Mountain West Conference outdoor track and field championships, women’s heptathlon and men’s decathlon, Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex. For a complete schedule of events, click here.

Thursday, May 15, and Friday, May 16, 6:30 p.m. -- UW Lab School students perform  the hit Broadway musical “Annie,” College of Education auditorium. Tickets cost $5 for adults, free to children under 16.

Friday, May 16 -- Mountain West Conference outdoor track and field championships field events begin at 11 a.m., track events start at 1 p.m., Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex.

Saturday, May 17, noon -- Mountain West Conference outdoor track and field championship, Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex.

Commencement Ceremonies

Thursday, May 15, 7:30 p.m. -- UW-Casper graduation, Casper Events Center.

Saturday, May 17, 10 a.m. -- College of Law graduation, Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall.

A variety of exhibitions can be seen at the UW Art Museum in the Centennial Complex, 2111 Willett Drive, open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Free.

Dinosaur skeletons, ancient mammal fossils and other exhibits are on display in the UW Geological Museum, open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
