Monday, Sept. 29, 8 a.m. -- The Wyoming Union celebrates its 75th anniversary with a retrospective exhibition in Gallery 234. It can be seen through Oct. 23.

Monday, Sept. 29, 3:10 p.m. -- Department of Geology and Geophysics Distinguished Lecturer Series, speaker Ed Nissen, Colorado School of Mines, Geology Building Room 216. Free.

Tuesday, Sept. 30, noon -- Forum on “Global Energy: Leadership from Wyoming,” Wyoming Union Family Room. Free, box lunches available.

Tuesday, Sept. 30, 5 p.m. -- “Women’s Global Leadership Forum,” Berry Center auditorium. Free, refreshments.

Wednesday, Oct. 1, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. -- Pete’s Game Room grand opening, Wyoming Union lower level, free pool, table tennis, foosball, shuffle board and Xbox gaming.

Wednesday, Oct. 1, 1 p.m. -- Department of Theatre and Dance informal improvisational dance, Coe Library rotunda. Free.

Wednesday, Oct. 1, 6-7 p.m. -- MFA Visiting Writer Series. Author Julie Carr, public reading, Night Heron Books, 107 E. Ivinson. Free.

Wednesday, Oct 1, 6-8 p.m. -- Outdoor Program fundamentals of bike maintenance workshop, cost is $5 for students and $7 for faculty and staff, Outdoor Program office.

Wednesday, Oct. 1, 7 p.m. -- Berlin Wall anniversary event, the comedy film “Goodbye Lenin,” Room 129 of the UW Classroom Building. Free.

Wednesday, Oct. 1, 8 p.m. -- Comedian Hasan Minhaj performs in the Wyoming Union lower level. Free.

Thursday, Oct. 2, 4:30 p.m. -- "The Dynamics of African Cultural Change in Native America: Evidence of Transculturalization in a Smithsonian Exhibit,” Classroom Building, Room 133. Free.

Thursday, Oct. 2, 7 p.m. -- UW Cowgirls volleyball vs San Diego State, UniWyo Sports Complex. Tickets cost $8 for adults and $5 for youth.

Thursday, Oct. 2, 7:30 p.m. -- UW Symphony Orchestra opening night, Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall. Tickets cost $10 for the public, $6 for students and $7 for senior citizens. Tickets are available at the UW Wyoming Union and Performing Arts box offices or by calling (307) 766-6666.

Friday, Oct. 3, 9 p.m. -- Comedian Marcus performs in the Gardens, located in the lower level of the Wyoming Union. Free.

Saturday, Oct. 4, 2 p.m. -- UW Cowgirls volleyball vs UNLV, UniWyo Sports Complex. Tickets cost $8 for adults and $5 for youth.

Sunday, Oct. 5, 7:30 p.m. -- Pianist Barry Douglas opens the Cultural Programs’ fall concert series in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall. Tickets cost $23 for adults, $19 for senior citizens and $10 for students.
