UW College of Education Receptions Oct. 28

University of Wyoming alumni, friends, educators and others in the Big Horn Basin have opportunities to meet with UW College of Education Interim Dean Michael Day and mark the college’s 100th anniversary next week.

Receptions are planned Tuesday, Oct. 28, in Cody; Wednesday, Oct. 29, in Greybull; and Thursday, Oct. 30, in Worland as part of a 23-county tour by Day to commemorate the College of Education centennial.

“I’m excited to get out and around the state to connect with our many alumni and friends, celebrate a century of service to the state, and seek input on the significant plans we have for the future,” Day says.

All of the receptions are open to the public, and no RSVP is required. Light refreshments will be served.

-- The Park County reception begins at 6 p.m. Oct. 28 in the Park County Library’s Grizzly Room, 1500 Heart Mountain St. in Cody.

-- The Big Horn County reception begins at 6 p.m. Oct. 29 in the Historic Hotel Greybull Conference Center, 600 Greybull Ave.

-- The Washakie County reception begins at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 30 at the Washakie Museum and Cultural Center, 2200 Big Horn Ave. in Worland.

In addition to the public receptions, Day is scheduled to visit with school officials, staff members and students in the three counties.
