State Epidemiologist Tracy Murphy will be among guests on the Nov. 16 episode of “Wyoming Signatures.”

Experts will examine Ebola preparedness in Wyoming on the University of Wyoming news and information program “Wyoming Signatures” Sunday, Nov. 16, at 6:30 p.m. on Wyoming Public Television.

Dr. Hoo Feng Choo, infectious disease specialist with Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, will explain how his facility will work with the Centers for Disease Control to care for patients who may have the disease.

State Epidemiologist Dr. Tracy Murphy will talk about the state’s role in containment and related topics, such as screening for Ebola carriers at airports and restricting travel to and from the West African countries.

Also on the program is UW School of Nursing Professor Pam Clarke, a public health specialist who attended a recent national conference on infectious diseases. She will provide an overview of how America’s health care system is, or is not, set up to contain and treat Ebola.

“Wyoming Signatures” is produced by UWTV of the UW Outreach School. Wyoming PBS can be seen over the air and via cable or satellite in communities throughout Wyoming. A complete list of channels can be found at www.wyoptv.org/channels.
