Pop Up Paint Party at UW Art Museum Monday

The first Pop Up Paint Party is scheduled Monday, Nov. 10, from 6-8 p.m. at the University Wyoming Art Museum.

An entertaining artist instructor will guide participants in a step-by-step lesson painting of Ralston Crawford’s “Tug Boat.” Special permission was granted for the use of his painting.

Cost for the painting session is $45 and includes a 16- by 20-inch canvas, painting supplies, snacks and beverages. A portion of the proceeds benefits the UW Art Museum. To register, visit the website at

Through its "Museum as Classroom" approach, the UW Art Museum places art at the center of learning for all ages. The museum is located in the Centennial Complex at 2111 Willett Drive. Hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Mondays. Admission is free.
