University of Wyoming Calendar for Nov. 17

These are among the activities scheduled Nov. 17-23 at the University of Wyoming:

Monday, Nov. 17, 7 p.m. -- Cowgirl basketball vs. Western State, Arena-Auditorium. Ticket prices vary.

Monday, Nov. 17, 7 p.m. -- UW Art Museum Curator Nicole M. Crawford discusses Ralston Crawford’s exhibition, “The Artist’s Eye,” Visual Arts Building Room 111. Free.

Monday, Nov. 17, 7:30 p.m. -- Laramie Civic Chorus fall concert with the Community Band, Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall. Free.

Tuesday, Nov. 18, noon -- Sustainability exchange presentation and discussion, Wyoming Union Ballroom. Free.

Tuesday, Nov. 18, 5 p.m. -- Geography Awareness Week panel discussion on Laramie local food, Berry Center auditorium. Free.

Tuesday, Nov. 18, 7 p.m. -- Geography Bowl in the Wyoming Union East Yellowstone Ballroom. Free.

Tuesday, Nov. 18, 7 p.m. -- Cowboy basketball vs. Western State, Arena-Auditorium. Ticket prices vary.

Wednesday, Nov. 19, noon -- Student Legal Services presents “How Far is Too Far?” a discussion about First Amendment rights, Wyoming Union Family Room. Free.

Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2-4 p.m. -- Geography Awareness Week mini GIS workshops, College of Agriculture Building Room 316. Free.

Wednesday, Nov. 19, 4 p.m. -- Final session of CHAP ALS Seminars hosts Suzanne Schrag from the Rocky Mountain ALS Association, Berry Biodiversity Conservation Center. Free.

Wednesday, Nov. 19, 6 p.m. -- The film “iThemba,” produced by UW Senior Visiting Scholar in Global Studies Elinor Burkett, College of Business auditorium. Free.

Wednesday, Nov. 19, 7 p.m. -- Cowgirl volleyball vs. Nevada, UniWyo Sports Complex. Tickets cost $8 for the public, $5 for youth (ages 3-18) and free for UW students.

Thursday, Nov. 20, 5:10 p.m. -- Colleen Denney, professor of gender and women’s studies, will discuss “A Visual Odyssey on Women’s Rights around the Globe,” Classroom Building Room 310. Free.

Thursday, Nov. 20, 5 p.m. -- Geography Awareness Week talk by graduate student Sarah DePaolo, “The Buzz in Pollinator Diversity: How Native Bees can Support the Struggling Honey Bee,” Berry Center auditorium. Free.

Thursday, Nov. 20, 7:30 p.m. -- Happy Jacks concert, Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall. Free.
