Advance Screening of Game of Thrones Sunday

An advance screening of HBO’s popular “Game of Thrones” season five premiere will be shown Sunday, March 29, at 8 p.m. in the University of Wyoming College of Arts and Sciences auditorium. Doors open at 7 p.m. The free event is open to all students with valid UW IDs.

Prizes will be given away to the first 100 students to arrive. Additional prizes will be awarded leading up to the event through a social media giveaway.

Students can take photos with the Game of Thrones frame located in the Wyoming Union breezeway and Washakie Dining Center before the event. Students can then post their photos to Facebook or Twitter using the hashtags #GameofThrones and #HBOwyo. Eight winners will be selected to receive Game of Thrones merchandise, VIP seating and personalized T-shirts.

“Game of Thrones” is a television drama based on George R.R. Martin’s book series, “A Song of Fire and Ice.” Season five’s first episode will be screened at UW and select universities across the country, ahead of the HBO scheduled premiere April 12.
