Four Films Shown April 25 at UW

Four films -- “Pitch Perfect,” “The Avengers,” “Big Eyes” and “The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death” -- will be shown in the University of Wyoming Union Ballroom and Family Room Saturday April 25. Movies are free and open to the public.

Sponsored by Friday Night Fever, all movies will be shown at 1:30 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Starring Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow and Rebel Wilson, “Pitch Perfect” follows the Barden Bellas, an all-girls a cappella singing group, striving to beat the rival a cappella group from their college to win nationals

“The Avengers” stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson, and follows the peacekeeping organization S.H.I.E.L.D. They attempt to recruit Iron Man, Captain America, the Hulk and Thor to form a team to stop Thor’s brother, Loki.

“Big Eyes” features the painter, Margaret Keane, whose success in the 1950s leads to legal struggles with her husband who claimed credit for her work in the 1960s. The film stars Amy Adams, Christoph Waltz and Danny Huston.

“The Woman in Black 2” is about a group of orphaned children who are forced to move from their home in London. Their caretakers, Eve (played by Phoebe Fox) and Jean (played by Helen McCrory), bring everyone to the abandoned Eel Marsh House that is inhabited by the Woman in Black.
