UW Offers Free Alternative to Convenience Fee for Student Account Credit Card Payments

TouchNet Information Systems Inc., the online credit card processing company, will impose a convenience fee of 2.75 percent for all Web payments made with credit card products beginning July 1.

As a free, electronic alternative, the University of Wyoming will begin accepting Web payments made via an e-check (ACH) payment from a checking or savings account. There is no charge to a student or parent who makes a Web payment via e-check.

The Cashier’s Office will continue to take cash and check payments in person between the hours of 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Students and parents also may mail check payments to the university at the following address:

“All payers attempting to make a payment over the phone will be directed back to the Web to make payments,” says Aaron Courtney, UW Financial Services assistant manager.
