Dean’s Office
D. Ray Reutzel as dean/professor. He received a B.A. (1977) in elementary and early childhood education from UW, an M.A. (1980) in reading and elementary education from Utah State University, and a Ph.D. (1982) in reading, language arts and elementary education from UW. He has been the Emma Eccles Jones Endowed Chair and Distinguished Professor of Early Literacy and director of the Emma Eccles Jones Early Childhood Education Center at Utah State University since 2001. Reutzel will be dean of the College of Education and will be a tenured professor in the Department of Elementary and Early Childhood Education.

Irlanda E. Jacinto as assistant archivist. She received a B.A. (2008) in anthropology and history from the University of Texas at El Paso, and an M.A. (2013) in information resources and library science from the University of Arizona. Jacinto has been a data and operations specialist at the University of New Mexico since 2013.

Bethany Lessard as clinical assistant professor. She received a Pharm.D. (2009) from Northeastern University-Bouvé College of Health Sciences. Lessard has been a clinical pharmacist at BMC HealthNet Plan in Boston since 2014.

Emma-Jane Alexander as assistant research scientist. She received a B.S. (2000) in visualization from the University of Teesside and an MBA (2006) from the University of Hull. Alexander has been the manager of the Shell 3-D Visualization Center in the School of Energy Resources since 2013.
