These are among the activities scheduled June 15-21 at the University of Wyoming:

Monday, June 15, 4 p.m. -- Summer Institute on Human Rights lecture, “What in the World,” presented by graduate students in the UW Global and Area Studies Program and the Center for Global Studies, College of Law Building, Room 186. Free.

Monday, June 15, 5 p.m. -- Pollinator Week talk, “Laramie’s Butterflies,” Brian Barber, UW Biodiversity Institute, Berry Biodiversity Conservation Center deck. Free.

Tuesday, June 16, 4 p.m. -- Summer Institute on Human Rights lecture, “The Memory of Human Rights in Contemporary Museums,” David Messenger, associate professor, UW Department of History, College of Law Building, Room 186. Free.

Tuesday, June 16, 5 p.m. -- Pollinator Week talk, “Laramie’s Hummingbirds,” Beth Wommack, UW Museum of Vertebrates, Berry Center deck. Free.

Wednesday, June 17, 11 a.m. -- Planetarium show, “Cool (and Hot) Stuff in Space.” Tickets cost $2 for students and $3 for nonstudents, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in Room 204 of the Physical Sciences Building.

Wednesday, June 17, 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. -- Folk/bluegrass band Rich With Friends will perform as part of the UW Summer Programs concert series on Simpson Plaza. Free.

Wednesday, June 17, 4 p.m. -- Summer Institute on Human Rights film showing and discussion, “The Legacy of Heart Mountain,” Aura Newlin, instructor of sociology and anthropology at Northwest College in Powell, College of Law Building, Room 186. Free.

Wednesday, June 17, 5 p.m. -- Pollinator Week talk, “Laramie’s Bees,” Christy Bell, local bee expert, Berry Center deck. Free.

Thursday, June 18, 4 p.m. -- Summer Institute on Human Rights discussion, “Refugee Resettlement in Wyoming,” Suzan Pritchett, UW assistant professor of law and director of the International Human Rights Clinic, and invited guests, College of Law Building, Room 186. Free.

Thursday, June 18, 5 p.m. -- Pollinator Week talk, “Gardening for Pollinators,” plus a garden tour, Jodi Guerin, local gardener, Berry Center deck. Free.

Friday, June 19, noon -- Distinguished speaker Steven Carpenter will discuss future prospects amid low oil prices, Energy Innovation Center Room 201. Free.

Friday, June 19, 8 p.m. -- Planetarium show, “Planet Series: Neptune the Mystic.” A tour of the STAR Observatory follows at 9 p.m. Tickets cost $2 for students and $3 for nonstudents, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in Room 204 of the Physical Sciences Building.

Saturday, June 20, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. -- UW Art Museum’s annual summer solstice celebration, Rotunda Gallery. Free.

Saturday, June 20, 3 p.m. -- Artist workshop with Do Palma, Wyoming Arts Council Visual Arts Fellowship recipient, UW Art Museum. Free, but limited to 15 participants. To register, call Rachel Clifton at (307) 766-6621 or email rmiller@uwyo.edu.

The UW Department of Botany’s Williams Conservatory is open to the public Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.

Dinosaur skeletons, ancient mammal fossils and other exhibits are on display in the UW Geological Museum, open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
