These are among the activities scheduled July 27-Aug. 2 at the University of Wyoming:

Wednesday, July 29, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. -- Students from several disciplines will present research during the 23rd annual McNair Scholars Research Symposium, Wyoming Union Family Room. Free.

Wednesday, July 29, 11 a.m. -- Planetarium show, “Legends of the Sky.” Tickets cost $2 for students and $3 for nonstudents, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in Room 204 of the Physical Sciences Building.

Wednesday, July 29, 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. -- Skydyed, an electronic funk band, will perform as part of the UW Summer Programs concert series on Simpson Plaza. Free.

Friday, July 31, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. -- Wyoming Undergraduate Research Symposium, University of Wyoming Conference Center. For more information, email Rick Matlock at rixdogs@uwyo.edu.

Friday, July 31, 8 p.m. -- Planetarium full-dome movie, “IBEX: Search for the Edge of the Solar System.” A STAR Observatory tour follows at 9 p.m. Tickets cost $2 for students and $3 for nonstudents, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in Room 204 of the Physical Sciences Building.

A variety of exhibitions can be seen at the UW Art Museum in the Centennial Complex, 2111 Willett Drive in Laramie. The museum is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Free.

Dinosaur skeletons, ancient mammal fossils and other exhibits are on display in the UW Geological Museum, open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.

The UW Department of Botany’s Williams Conservatory is open to the public Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
