The International Society for Quality-of-Life Studies (ISQOLS) has named University of Wyoming marketing Professor Mark Peterson a research fellow for his substantial contribution to quality-of-life (QOL) research.
During his 20-year career, Peterson has published 15 articles or book chapters focused on QOL research in journals such as the Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, Journal of Business Research and Social Indicators Research. Peterson’s research has focused on comparisons of the conditions of living across countries of the world, as well as on the role of business in the well-being of poor consumers in developing countries, such as Turkey.
SAGE Publications in 2013 published Peterson’s book “Sustainable Enterprise: A Macromarketing Approach,” which features QOL research and concepts prominently.
ISQOLS promotes research in the field of QOL studies. Its membership is broad and includes hundreds of researchers from across the social sciences and from around the world. Since the Research Fellow’s inception in 1997, only 50 researchers have received the award.
Peterson received his Ph.D. in marketing from Georgia Tech in 1994 and joined the UW faculty in 2007.
