UW Women’s Leadership Conference Nov. 6-7

Registrations are now being accepted for the “Breakin' Through, Find Your Voice, Share Your Voice” Women's Leadership Conference Friday, Nov. 6, and Saturday, Nov. 7, on the second floor of the University of Wyoming Union.

The conference begins at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, with registration at 4:30 p.m. Registration for the conference is free, and individuals can register the day of the event.

Activities Friday evening will include dinner; entertainment; a talk from keynote speaker Wagatwe Wanjuki, who will discuss sexual assault issues and Title IX; and opportunities for participants to meet one another. Conference attendees will start Saturday, Nov. 7, with breakfast at 8 a.m. and then participate in breakout educational programs.

Among topics to be discussed are gender and politics, Safe Zone training, “Changing Faces of Feminism,” “I Got 99 Problems and My Mouth is One,” how to increase and support sexual assault survivors, and “What a Difference Inclusive Language Makes.”

The Service, Leadership, and Community Engagement (SLCE) office sponsors the conference.
