Hip-hop violinist DSharp will perform Friday, Nov. 13, at 9 p.m. in the University of Wyoming Union Ballroom. The concert, free and open to all students and the public, is a Friday Night Fever event.

Since 1999, South Carolina-born violinist/producer/DJ Derryck Gleaton, known as DSharp, has used the violin strings and his deep soulful vocals as the vessel to be next up for the top Dance Music performer title.

DSharp has performed at high-profile clubs around the world, including Sweden, Amsterdam, the Philippines and Dubai. He has shared the stage with other DJs, such as, Nicky Romero, Afrojack, Sebastian Ingrosso, Kaskade, Chuckie and R3hab.

For more information about DSharp, visit his website www.whoisdsharp.com, like him on Facebook, or follow him on Twitter @whoisDSharp.

Friday Night Fever also will show “American Ultra” Friday, Nov. 13, at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Family Room.

A small-town stoner (Jesse Eisenberg) discovers that he is actually a lethal sleeper agent, part of a program to develop a supersoldier. When shadowy government forces decide to eliminate him, he and his girlfriend (Kristen Stewart) must fight for their lives.

Friday Night Fever is looking for UW student volunteers. If interested, contact fnf@uwyo.edu. Friday Night Fever meetings are Mondays at 4 p.m. in the Campus Activities Center, located in Room 012 of the Wyoming Union.
