University of Wyoming students will be able to enjoy free laser light shows synchronized to Daft Punk music, as well as a STAR observatory tour, Wednesday, Dec. 2, in the Harry C. Vaughn Planetarium. The event is for UW students only.
Students can obtain the free, limited tickets beginning Monday, Nov. 23, in the Campus Activities Center, located in Room 012 of the Wyoming Union.
The first laser light show begins at 8 p.m., and the second show will start at 9 p.m. Students waiting for the second show will have the opportunity to tour the STAR observatory, a rooftop telescope on the Physical Sciences Building.
The popular dome show, similar to an IMAX theater, gives the audience a 3-D experience of lasers synchronized to the music of popular artists. Laser light shows are made up of red, blue and green lasers that project graphics across the dome while the music is playing.
