“An Evening of Reed Trios” will be performed Monday, Nov. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the University of Wyoming Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall. The free concert is part of the UW Department of Music’s Faculty Recital Series.
The performance features music faculty members Lindsey Bird Reynolds on oboe; Blake McGee on clarinet; and Kaori Uno-Jack on bassoon.
Twentieth century composers Darius Milhaud, Joseph Canteloube and Jacques Ibert will be featured. Selections from Erwin Schulhoff’s “Divertissement” also will be performed.
Bird Reynolds is an oboe instructor at UW, and the second oboe and English horn of the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra. She performs throughout Wyoming and Colorado.
McGee, assistant professor of clarinet, has performed as a member of the Portland Opera, Vancouver Symphony and the Oregon Mozart Players chamber orchestra as well as with several regional orchestras.
Uno-Jack, a Department of Music lecturer, is a member of the award-winning woodwind quintet Antero Winds. She also is a member of the Colorado Ballet and Boulder Chamber Orchestra.
