UW Podcast Examines Beetle-Killed Trees’ Potential as Gasoline

The economic, environmental, social, health and safety, and educational aspects of a project to assess whether millions of acres of beetle-killed trees can be used to convert biomass into high-grade gasoline will be discussed during this week’s UW podcast, “The University of Wyoming Today.”

Three UW faculty members will discuss their components of the beetle-killed tree project that is entering the third year of a five-year, $10 million grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture.  

Another podcast segment explains services offered through the UW Student Success Services program that helps students from disadvantaged backgrounds to earn college degrees.
