The University of Wyoming Art Museum will host a free gallery walk-through featuring student award winners from the 41st annual Juried UW Student Exhibition Monday, Feb. 22, from 5:30-7 p.m.

The annual Juried UW Student Exhibition is open to any student enrolled at UW during the current academic year. For the second time, this year’s exhibition also was open to any in-state student enrolled through the Outreach School. A juror from outside the state is invited each year to select the exhibition. This year, Dan Mills, director of the Bates College Museum of Art and lecturer in the humanities, juried the exhibition.

The exhibition is an opportunity for UW departments and units to buy student artwork and add original art to their buildings and offices. In a tradition that began in 2004, many of UW’s facilities now have student art on view in public areas.

The exhibition will be on display through March 19.

For more information, call the Art Museum at (307) 766-6622, visit the website at, or follow the museum on Facebook and YouTube.

Through its “Museum as Classroom” approach, the UW Art Museum places art at the center of learning for all ages. The museum is located in the Centennial Complex at 2111 Willett Drive in Laramie. Hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday hours are extended to 7 p.m. February through April and September through November. Admission is free.
