University of Wyoming Calendar for June 13

These are among the activities scheduled June 13-19 at the University of Wyoming:

Monday, June 13-Tuesday, June 14 -- The Renewable Energy Summit will take place at UW’s Berry Biodiversity Conservation Center. Register at www.uwyo.edu/ser/conferences.

Monday, June 13-Friday, June 17, 1-4:45 p.m. daily -- The UW Art Museum will host a Summer Art Camp session for students, ages 11-15. The cost is $60 per student. Participation is limited to 30 students. For more information, call (307) 766-6622, or go online at www.uwyo.edu/artmuseum. 

Tuesday, June 14, 6 p.m. -- The UW Art Museum will celebrate summer exhibitions with a free public opening reception.

Tuesday, June 14-Saturday, June 18, 7:30 p.m. -- The UW Department of Theatre and Dance presents “The Missionary Position” in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts Thrust Theatre. Tickets cost $10 for the public, and $7 for students, senior citizens and children age 5 and older. For tickets and information, call (307) 766-6666, go online at www.uwyo.edu/finearts, or visit the Performing Arts box office or the Wyoming Union information desk.

Wednesday, June 15, 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. -- DeCollage, a Denver-based avant-pop band, will perform for the UW Summer Programs concert series on Simpson Plaza. Free.

Friday, June 17, 8 p.m. -- Planetarium show, “Gravity Wars: 100 Years After Einstein.” A STAR Observatory tour follows at 9 p.m. Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in Room 204 of the Physical Sciences Building.

Saturday, June 18, 11 a.m. -- Planetarium show, “Constellations for Beginners.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in Room 204 of the Physical Sciences Building.

Dinosaur skeletons, ancient mammal fossils and other exhibits are on display in the UW Geological Museum, open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.

The UW Department of Botany’s Williams Conservatory is open to the public Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
