‘Ghostbusters’ Remake to be Shown Sept. 30 at UW

The remake of the popular 1984 film classic “Ghostbusters” will be shown Friday, Sept. 30, at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. in the University of Wyoming Union Family Room. The event, sponsored by 7220 Entertainment, is free and open to the public.

The 6:30 p.m. showing will include closed captioning; closed captioning can be made available on request at the late showing.

“Ghostbusters” features two paranormal researchers (Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy) who join forces with a nuclear engineer (Kate McKinnon) and a subway attendant (Leslie Jones) to fight off a slew of ghosts that have invaded New York City.

The Films Committee, which sponsors “Ghostbusters,” meets Wednesdays at 4 p.m. in Room 012 of the Wyoming Union.
