President to Speak at UW Fall Convocation Sept. 15

University of Wyoming President Laurie Nichols will provide updates on key issues and initiatives, and outline future plans, during the UW Fall Convocation Thursday, Sept. 15, at 3 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Yellowstone Ballroom.

In addition to the president’s “State of the University” address, newly promoted faculty members and academic professionals will be recognized, and the presidents of the Associated Students of UW, Faculty Senate and Staff Senate will offer brief remarks. Refreshments will be served outside the ballroom following the program.

The president has authorized two hours of release time to attend the convocation. The scheduling of release time should be a collaborative discussion between employee and supervisor to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the unit.
