Annual Thanksgiving Dinner at UW Nov. 16

October 28, 2016

A traditional holiday feast will be served at the annual Thanksgiving dinner Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 6 p.m. in the University of Wyoming Union Ballroom. Tickets go on sale Monday, Nov. 7; space is limited.

The event is for UW students and the public. This is the fifth year for the Thanksgiving feast, which is sponsored by 7220 Entertainment. UW Catering prepares the meal.

UW students can pick up two free tickets at the Wyoming Union information desk, and they also may purchase non-student tickets for $10 each. Any remaining tickets for non-students (the public) cost $10 or free with a donation of three canned goods. Students also are encouraged to donate canned goods.

The dinner will have all of the traditional Thanksgiving fixings, including roasted turkey breast; mashed potatoes with gravy; sweet potato casserole; cranberry sauce; cornbread stuffing; rolls and butter; a variety of pies, including traditional pumpkin; and tea, water, punch, lemonade and coffee.

“Bring your appetite and a canned good donation to help those in need during the Thanksgiving season,” says Lauren Kudera, 7220 Entertainment marketing intern.

7220 Entertainment’s Weekly Events Committee is responsible for organizing the Thanksgiving dinner. The committee meets Tuesdays at 5 p.m. in the Campus Activities Center, located in Room 012 in the Wyoming Union.
