UW Homecoming Parade Winners Announced

UniWyo Federal Credit Union was named the overall winner in the University of Wyoming Homecoming parade Saturday, Oct. 8. Sigma Chi fraternity was named the winner of the Homecoming student competition.

Other winners in the adjudicated float categories were:

-- Most Original Float -- UW Geology Club.

-- Best Use of Theme -- Ace Hardware.

-- On-Campus Walking Group -- UW Campus Sustainability Committee.

-- Off-Campus Walking Group -- Sarah Berry Designs.

-- Campus Spirit -- UW mechanical engineering students.

-- Off-Campus Commercial Float -- First Interstate Bank.

There were dozens of entries including floats, walkers and marching bands. The Homecoming theme was “Once a Cowboy, Always a Cowboy.”
