The Statistics Club of Wyoming (SCW WYO) is now an official recognized student organization (RSO) at the University of Wyoming. SCW WYO has been a group on campus for two and a half years.
SCW WYO is a club for people interested in receiving feedback on research analysis, or for those to share advancements in their field.
“Many disciplines have their own form of data analysis. Rarely do the disciplines discuss advancements and solutions discovered in other fields,” says Marie Tellier, the club’s president. “SCW WYO encourages people to come share knowledge so everyone can move forward with up-to-date solutions.”
SCW WYO has various talks scheduled this semester. The next discussion is Friday, Feb. 17, at 10 a.m. in Room 339 of Ross Hall. Tellier will discuss how to create professional documents with Latex. No experience is necessary.
“Anyone is welcome to attend meetings, and there is no requirement to join in order to attend talks,” Tellier says.
SCW WYO is free to join; interested individuals can register online at http://goo.gl/forms/vxG7gDkak9 or during a meeting every Friday at 10 a.m. in Room 339 of Ross Hall.
