The University of Wyoming Chamber Orchestra will perform Monday, Feb. 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall. Admission is free.
Directed by UW Department of Music Associate Professor Beth Vanderborgh, the UW Chamber Orchestra is composed of top string players from UW. The concert will feature faculty members Theresa Bogard, pianist; John Fadial, violin; and Gonzalo Teppa, bass.
The concert will feature Arthur Foote’s Serenade, Op. 25, Libby Larsen’s “Four on the Floor,” Edvard Grieg’s “Holberg Suite” and Gabriel Pierne’s Serenade, Op. 7.
The UW Chamber Orchestra is part of the Department of Music and focuses on orchestra pieces written before 1800, or later works composed for small, string-based combinations.
