Times and locations have been set for public presentations by finalists for the position of vice president for student affairs at the University of Wyoming.
The candidates are Tim Alvarez, vice president for student affairs at North Dakota State University; Sean Blackburn, UW’s current associate vice president for student affairs and dean of students; and Bill Schafer, most recently the vice president for student life at West Virginia University.
As part of a two-day interview, each candidate is scheduled to give a public presentation.
Alvarez will speak from 3:30-4:45 p.m. Thursday, April 27, in the Berry Biodiversity Conservation Center auditorium. The session will be streamed on WyoCast for UW employees and students at https://wyocast.uwyo.edu/WyoCast/Play/bcc5a6188cbb4604afaed768e5b8d9bf1d. To learn more about him, go here.

The vice president for student affairs oversees UW units focused on student life, including Residence Life and Dining Services, the Dean of Students Office, Campus Recreation, Fraternity and Sorority Life, Student Health Service, the University Counseling Center and the Wyoming Union.
