Two UW Research VP Finalists to Speak Next Week; Input Sought

Two finalists for the position of vice president for research and economic development at the University of Wyoming are scheduled to visit campus next week.

Joseph Heppert, associate vice chancellor for research at the University of Kansas, will give a public presentation Tuesday, May 2, from 2-3:15 p.m. in Room 129 of the Classroom Building. D. Marshall Porterfield, professor in Purdue University’s Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering and former director of Space Life and Physical Sciences Division in NASA’s Human Exploration Mission Directorate in Washington, D.C., will speak from 2-3:15 p.m. Friday, May 5, in the Berry Biodiversity Conservation Center auditorium. The first finalist to visit, Kent Keyser, associate vice president for research at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, is scheduled to speak from 2-3:15 p.m. today (Friday) in the Berry Center auditorium.
