These are among the activities scheduled July 31-Aug. 6 at the University of Wyoming:
Tuesday, Aug. 1, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. -- UW’s 25th annual McNair Scholars Research Symposium will feature research presentations from undergraduate students. The event will take place in the Wyoming Union Family Room. Free.
Tuesday, Aug. 1, 7 p.m. -- Planetarium show, “Phantom of the Universe: The Hunt for Dark Matter.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204.
Friday, Aug. 4, 8 p.m. -- Planetarium show, “Stellar Evolution.” A free STAR Observatory tour (weather dependent) follows at 9 p.m. Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204.
Saturday, Aug. 5, 11 a.m. -- Planetarium show, “Constellations for Beginners.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204.
A variety of exhibitions can be seen at the UW Art Museum in the Centennial Complex, 2111 Willett Drive in Laramie. The museum is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Free.
Dinosaur skeletons, ancient mammal fossils and other exhibits are on display in the UW Geological Museum, open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
The UW Department of Botany’s Williams Conservatory is open to the public Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
