Kristian Nairn, who played the popular character Hodor in “Game of Thrones,” will perform his music at the University of Wyoming Thursday, Sept. 7, at 8 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Gardens, located in the lower level. 7220 Entertainment and Studio WYO will host the event, which is free and open to the public.

Nairn is known for his musical performance as a disc jockey (DJ) and electronic music producer. He has performed at the BlizzCon 2016 anniversary party and has made appearances alongside the Scissor Sisters, Mylo, Calvin Harris and Alphabeat. Nairn has played with bands such as AJ Suzuki and Dublin’s Daddy’s Little Princess. His remixes have been played by some of the most well-known English DJs and bands such as the Freemasons and Grant Nelson.

The actor-musician was a resident DJ and electronic music producer for 11 years in Kremlin, one of Ireland’s most popular venues. As a performance artist, Nairn uses his musicality to fuse together immense performances, often mixing and even playing the music himself.

Nairn played the beloved character Hodor in the critically acclaimed HBO series “Game of Thrones.” The character was a large and slow-witted stable boy, but was gentle and loyal to the Stark family. He was only capable of saying one word, Hodor, which the Stark children believed to be his name. The adult Hodor was the paralyzed Bran Stark’s protector, hauling him on his back, until his shocking death in Season 6 of “Game of Thrones.”

For more information about Nairn, visit his website at www.kristiannairn.com/ and on Facebook.
