Registration for UW Outdoor Program Events Begins Aug. 30

Registration for fall Outdoor Program events begins Wednesday, Aug. 30, at the University of Wyoming.

The Outdoor Program offers nearly 50 different outings, programs and clinics this fall. In addition to regularly scheduled outings and clinics such as full-moon hikes, introductory rock climbing, horsemanship, canoeing and skill-development clinics, the Outdoor Program also will offer a variety of new outings.

New this year are introductory stand-up paddle boarding, whitewater kayaking and fly-fishing clinics, and mountain biking clinics to Curt Gowdy State Park.

“We put together a great list of outings this fall, based on the expertise of our staff and interest from the community,” says Cindy Dywan, Outdoor Program interim coordinator.

In addition to offering outings, the Outdoor Program rents a variety of outdoor equipment to the UW community, runs the indoor climbing wall and provides a yearlong outdoor leadership development program.
