UWs Fifth Annual The Big Event Scheduled Oct. 21

The University of Wyoming’s fifth annual The Big Event is Saturday, Oct. 21, and will serve as the kickoff to Homecoming 2017.

Through service-oriented activities, The Big Event promotes campus and community unity as UW students come together for one day to express their gratitude for the support from the surrounding community. This event is free to the Laramie community, as well as the UW student body and alumni.

Community members and agencies should register with their job requests at www.uwyobigevent.com by Friday, Oct. 6. These jobs can be large or small projects that might include interior or exterior painting, yard work or indoor jobs.

After The Big Event, Laramie Main Street invites all participants to attend its barbecue. Food, drinks and live music will be provided to celebrate community. All are welcome.
