UW Fall Convocation Set Sept. 12

University of Wyoming President Laurie Nichols invites the campus community to attend the annual Fall Convocation Tuesday, Sept. 12, at 3 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Yellowstone Ballroom.

Nichols will provide updates on key issues and initiatives, and outline future plans during her “State of the University” address. In addition, newly promoted faculty members and academic professionals will be recognized. The presidents of the Associated Students of UW, Faculty Senate and Staff Senate will offer brief remarks during the event.

The convocation will be streamed on WyoCast; the link will be provided later.

The president has authorized release time from 2:45-5 p.m. for employees to attend the convocation. The scheduling of release time should be a collaborative discussion between employee and supervisor to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the unit.
