This sculpture, “Shortcut,” by Patrick Dougherty, was one of the public art installations on the UW campus during the “Sculpture: A Wyoming Invitational” initiative in 2008-2010. A public workshop to begin working on a new UW public art plan is Tuesday, Sept. 19, at 6 p.m. in Room 506 of Coe Library. (UW Art Museum Photo)

Members of the University of Wyoming community are invited to help create the vision for public art on the UW campus during a public workshop Tuesday, Sept. 19.

The session will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. in Room 506 of Coe Library, and is hosted by the UW President’s Public Art Committee.

Visiting consultants Jennifer McGregor and Renee Piechocki will share their research about public art strategies on campuses across the country.

Attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the strategies and share ideas about places for and types of public art on the UW campus.
