UW Commencement Planning Task Force Town

Members of the University of Wyoming community are invited to participate in upcoming town-hall meetings regarding recommended changes to UW spring commencement activities.

Hosted by UW’s Commencement Planning Task Force, the meetings will give participants an opportunity to learn about changes recommended by the task force to the university’s spring commencement ceremonies.

The meetings are Wednesday, Oct. 25, from 3-4 p.m., and Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., both in the College of Education auditorium.

College of Education Dean Ray Reutzel, who chairs the task force, will summarize the recommended changes and invite faculty, staff and student comments on the recommendations.

A copy of the Power Point presentation for the town-hall meeting may be accessed here for those who are unable to attend either meeting. Those who cannot attend the sessions but who have recommendations or input after viewing the Power Point presentation should email eddeans@uwyo.edu.

Members of the Commencement Planning Task Force, in addition to Reutzel, are: College of Arts and Sciences Dean Paula Lutz; Laurie Bonini, College of Engineering and Applied Science; Kerry Casper, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources; Registrar Lane Buchanan; Vice President for Student Affairs Sean Blackburn; Caleb Hebbert, UW Technical Services; Briana Long, Associated Students of UW; Kimberly Gustafson, College of Education and Faculty Senate representative; Craig Shepherd, College of Education; Alumni Association Executive Director Keener Fry; Matt Coulter, Office of the President; and Tyson Drew, Department of Athletics.
