Business Consultant to Speak with UW MBA Students Friday

Anne Fish, a best-selling author, speaker and business consultant, will speak with University of Wyoming Master of Business Administration (MBA) students Friday, Feb. 16, in the College of Business.

Fish has spent nearly three decades in people-centered professions and will offer her expertise on the topics of risk, communication and professional customer service -- as part of the MBA Program’s Executive Speaker Series.

A proponent of self-realization through risks and connection through communication, Fish wrote “Riskformation: How Smart Risk-Taking Will Transform Your Life” and has lectured extensively on the subject. She also has appeared on numerous television and radio shows across the country.

Fish’s career path began when her dream job with the Secret Service did not pan out. She later embarked on a new career path that has taken her across the globe, living and working in five countries. She has traveled to more than 42 countries.

Fish earned an administration of justice degree from UW, and is a certified trainer for United Airlines and for the National Association of Realtors. She is a member of Rotary International, Kappa Gamma and Toastmasters International. Fish currently lives near Jackson.

The MBA Program’s Executive Speaker Series, this spring, allows UW MBA students the opportunity to participate in roundtable discussions and receive real-world learning experiences from a group of diverse industry leaders, including CEOs, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, financial service representatives and sports industry executives.

The UW MBA Program is accepting applications for the 2018 fall semester and will admit qualified students on a rolling basis until the cohort group is filled or June 30, whichever comes first, says Tanner Parmely, MBA Program coordinator.

For more information, call Parmely at (307) 766-2449 or email tparmely@uwyo.edu.
