UW Trustees Plan Teleconference Meeting Wednesday

The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees will consider a number of issues during a meeting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, via teleconference.

Those wishing to attend the meeting may do so in the Old Main boardroom. The meeting will begin with an executive session.

Agenda items include consideration of a proposed project as part of the Trustees Education Initiative, a report on UW financial services reorganization and a legislative update.

Additionally, at approximately 8:30 a.m., the board will accept public comment on recommendations regarding student tuition.

The board is being asked to consider a 4 percent increase in tuition for in-state undergraduates. To see details on the proposed increase, go online to www.uwyo.edu/trustees/_files/docs/2018-19-resident-tuition-table.pdf. The proposal is in line with the board’s current four-year tuition policy. Adopted in 2015, the policy may be found at www.uwyo.edu/trustees/_files/docs/tuition-policy.pdf.

Additionally, the board will consider recommendations aimed at helping the university increase enrollment in accordance with its strategic plan. That includes reducing annual undergraduate out-of-state tuition from $15,480 at present to $9,500.
