Campus Construction Update for March 25

These are among the construction activities scheduled March 25-31 at the University of Wyoming:

Colder Weather Advisory (UW Operations) -- UW Operations asks building occupants to assist with ensuring buildings and facilities are safe and secure. Make sure all windows and doors are completely closed with windows latched at the end of each day, and report any doors or windows that you are unable to close and secure to the Service Desk (766-6225).

Snow Removal (UW Operations) -- Crews will remove snow as needed throughout the season. Watch for snow-removal equipment; be careful and safe during snow events. Call the Service Desk (766-6225) to report icy spots and problem areas.

Wyoming State Veterinary Laboratory Isolation Building (Big Horn Roofing, Laramie; June 2018) -- The contractor will begin mobilization for replacement of the roof over the entire building, weather permitting. Please use caution near this area, and be aware of equipment and materials adjacent to the project site.

Mick and Susie McMurry High Altitude Performance Center (Construction manager at risk GE Johnson Construction Wyoming LLC, Jackson; June 2018) -- Within the existing facility, metal stud framing, drywall, mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough-ins are underway. All access to and egress from the Rochelle Athletics Center will be limited to the west weight room doors across from the Fieldhouse North. Traffic control, signs and barricades will be in place at the building interior and exterior during this process. Please use caution when near the project, and observe all construction signs.

The following project has been completed:

Wyoming Union Food Court Roof Replacement Project (Big Horn Roofing, Laramie; June 2018) -- Replacement of the roof over the east side of the building is substantially complete until summer. Final work will occur over the east entrance in July. The contractor will demobilize the project site during the week of March 26.
