A wealth management adviser will discuss financial planning and other related topics with University of Wyoming Master of Business Administration (MBA) students Friday, April 27, in the College of Business.

Ryan Yoder, managing director of Northwestern Mutual in Fort Collins, Colo., will meet with UW students as part of the MBA Program’s Executive Speaker Series.

Yoder helps business owners, business professionals and medical professionals protect and grow their assets by providing comprehensive, holistic, financial and estate planning services. He joined Northwestern Mutual after graduating from Colorado State University with his bachelor’s degree in business.

Each year, since 2002, Yoder has achieved the prestigious “Million Dollar Round Table” (MDRT) status and numerous “Court of the Table” qualifications from MDRT, the premier association of financial professionals.

Following the Executive Speaker Series, MBA students, throughout the day, will present at the Business Innovation Summit. The summit is a multifaceted event, which includes student-company project presentations, faculty research presentations, faculty-led innovation factory sessions and innovation-driven networking.

In the past year, the College of Business has successfully partnered with many companies, including Walmart, Cloud Peak Energy, Apple, Black Hills Corp., Anadarko Petroleum, Jonah Bank, Bridger Coal, Health Reach, Cisco Systems, Ivinson Memorial Hospital, CPA Group of Laramie and the Wyoming Business Council.

The MBA Program’s Executive Speaker Series, this spring, allows UW MBA students the opportunity to participate in roundtable discussions and receive real-world learning experiences from a group of diverse industry leaders, including CEOs, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, financial service representatives and sports industry executives.

The UW MBA Program is accepting applications for the 2018 fall semester and will admit qualified students on a rolling basis until the cohort group is filled or June 30, whichever comes first, says Tanner Parmely, MBA Program coordinator.

For more information, call Parmely at (307) 766-2449 or email tparmely@uwyo.edu.
